students

The Scottish Funding Council (who pay for your facilities and teaching in your institution) recognise the experience, expertise and knowledge that students bring to the table.  They also appreciate that student are the best people to comment upon the teaching and lerning that they receive, therefore the Scottish Funding Council has invested £266k to set up sparqs.

sparqs (student participation in quality scotland) is a new and unique organisation launched  in September 2003. sparqs was created to support and train student reps in their role as a class or course representative, committee representatives and active representatives about to comment on the quality of teaching they receive and whether or not it is of a high standard.

sparqs wants to hear how you are getting on in your role, so have your say on the online forum that will be launched soon. Find out what sparqs is doing by registering for the sparqs newsletter. After you have been to a sparqs training event then you can access the support notes from the after training resources section.
